Current Makeup Favourites

Hey guys! Welcome back to The BBB! I have recently been reaching for the same products every. single. time. that I do my makeup and wanted to share them with you. Keep reading for an in-depth look at what makeup I’ve been using on the daily!

1. Too Faced Love Light Prismatic Highlighter

When I apply this highlight I’m pretty sure you can see my face glowing from outer space. It is so intense! The shade I have is Blinded By The Light which is a champagne colour that is slightly on the silver side. When you first put it on your brush it doesn’t look like much but when you apply it to your skin it is seriously so gorgeous! I have recently been wearing a lot of open shoulder and off-the-shoulder tops; I’ve been using this highlight on my collarbone as well as on my shoulders to really make my skin pop!

2. Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush

If you have one blush in your makeup stash, make it this one! I bought this one in the shade Captivating which is described as a bright peach. It can look a little scary in the pan but once it’s applied it is amazing! This colour gives you that nice peachy glow that is perfect for spring & summer.

3. Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Water Foundation

I never used to be a liquid foundation kind of girl. It has taken me a long time to find one that I enjoy applying to my face. Fortunately, I have very cooperative skin; Not sensitive, but a little on the dry side. When I found this water-based foundation I was absolutely blown away! I just recently restocked the shade “Fair Light Sand” because we just got through winter in Manitoba and I am as pale as a ghost. This foundation is so smooth and hydrating, it doesn’t feel like I am wearing anything but is still medium to full coverage! I use a Morphe M439 Deluxe Buffer brush to apply my foundation initially. I follow up with a damp beauty blender to blend out any excess product and give my skin a flawless look!

4. Stila Magnificent Metals Glitter & Glow Liquid Eyeshadow

This eyeshadow is seriously revolutionary. It is the most sparkly thing I’ve ever seen! I purchased the shade Smoldering Satin and it took all of my will power not to buy all of them immediately after! These eyeshadows are so lightweight but provide maximum sparkle. The fallout is not bad; you can’t blend them too much or you’ll be covered in sparkles. I find if I do my eyes first then blend a tiny bit while I’m slightly bent over (so the fallout falls on the floor and not on my face) I have minimal sparkles on my face. This eyeshadow is bound to make any eyes pop!

5. RCMA No-Color Powder

The most amazing, cost-effective setting powder you will ever use. It is literally $12 USD and can be found here. This will make any foundation look airbrushed! The best part about this product is that after your bottle is empty you can use it for your Montreal steak spice! 😂

6. Anastasia Brow Powder Duo

This has been in my makeup kit forever; I think I have had this same powder for at least three years so it’s seen better days! (Recently the right side of the pan completely smashed) I have the shade Soft Brown and have been reaching for it every day. I prefer to use a powder for my brows to get a softer, more natural look. I use a #7B Anastasia Beverly Hills Brush to apply this specific brow product.

*I can’t post a close up of this product because when I was taking pictures of my Bahama Mama I dropped in on my Brow Powder Duo and broke it completely😭*

7. Cover FX Custom Enhancer Drops

I have been living for these drops lately! The colour pictured is Celestial; it is a warm pearl shade that is ultra-concentrated to give you a customized glow. I like this product because you can add it to almost anything, I personally like to mix a drop in with my liquid foundation. You can even use these drops over top of powder to create a buildable highlight!

8. The Balm Bahama Mama Bronzer, Shadow & Contour Shade

I recently picked this up at my local CosmoProf (perks of being a hairstylist!) and I am in love with this matte bronzer! I feel fresh off the beach when I apply Bahama Mama as it has absolutely no orange undertones. I also love using this product as an eyeshadow, it’s the most perfect transition shade! You can purchase this product online here.

I hope you guys enjoyed the list of my current faves. I look forward to hearing your feedback!

Thanks for reading

xoxo

Katie
